Appellant was charged, in an information filed June 2, 1980, by the District Attorney for the City and County of San Francisco, with a violation of Penal Code sections 664 and 211 (count one), attempted robbery; with a violation of Penal Code section 245, subdivision (a), assault with a deadly weapon (count two); and, as a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in violation of Penal Code section 12021 (count three).
