— At the January term, 1878, the appellant was indicted by the grand jury of the court below.
Omitting the venue, the style of the court, the title of the cause, and the signature of the prosecuting attorney, the indictment was as follows:
“ The grand jurors of White county, in the State of Indiana, good and lawful men, duly charged and sworn to inquire into felonies and misdemeanors, in and for the body of White county, and the State of Indiana, on their oaths, present, that said Amos C.
