GOLDBERG, Circuit Judge:

In this case involving the interaction of Rule 19, Fed.R.Civ.P. and diversity jurisdiction, plaintiffs, Eikel and Davey, two Texas lawyers, sued defendant corporation, States Marine, a citizen of Delaware and Connecticut, for attorneys’ fees of some $82,500 owed for past legal services. Goller, also a Texas attorney and a former partner of Eikel and Dav-ey at the time the legal services to States Marine were rendered, had previously made his own individual demand on defendant for some or all of the same fee; Goller, however, was not made a party to the original suit.…
