KNOCH, Circuit Judge.
Plaintiff, Clara Degner, brought this action in the United States District Couii; to review the decision of the Secretary of Health, Education and Welfare, that plaintiff was not entitled to a period of disability under the Social Security Act, § 216 (i) [42 U.S.C. § 416(i)] which provides in § 216(i) (1) that:
“[T]he term ‘disability’ means (A) inability to engage in any substantial gainful activity by reason of any medically determinable physical or mental impairment which can be expected to result in death or to be of long-continued and indefinite duration * *
