Appellant, Willie James Mitchell, pleaded guilty to the offense of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, 1 and the trial court, after finding true the allegation in an enhancement paragraph that appellant had a prior felony conviction, assessed his punishment at confinement for 25 years.
