GILLESPIE, Presiding Justice:

This is an appeal from a judgment of the Circuit Court of Simpson County in a personal injury suit. The plaintiff-appellant was injured in an automobile collision, and the jury awarded him $2,500 damages. Plaintiff-appellant seeks a reversal and remand for trial on the issue of damages only. We hold that the trial court erred in granting defendant-appellee two instructions on contributory negligence because (1) there was no more than a scintilla of evidence that plaintiff was guilty of contributory negligence, and (2) the instructions failed to furnish the jury…
