This appeal arises from a judgment entered by the Bell Circuit Court concerning a workers’ compensation claim filed with the Board by Curtis Chumley, an appellee herein, alleging that he had become affected with the disease of coal workers’ pneu-moconiosis by May 23,1983, his last day of exposure. On August 11, 1986, the Board entered an award for total, permanent disability benefits, running from May 23, 1983, to as long, thereafter, as Chumley should remain disabled.
