SUPPLEMENTAL MEMORANDUM OPINION AND ORDER

FEIKENS, District Judge.

This is a habeas, corpus action in which petitioner attacks the validity of a guilty *484plea to a murder charge. He contends that the trial court erred in not conducting a hearing to determine what degree of murder petitioner had committed, and that in advising him that the maximum possible sentence for first degree murder was life imprisonment, the court failed to advise him that he would also be ineligible for parole.
