This is an automobile personal injury action in which the issue was whether there had been a "serious injury” as defined in subdivision 4 of section 671 of the Insurance Law so as to permit a recovery for noneconomic loss under section 673 of the Insurance Law. This court ruled that this issue raised a question of fact for the jury. The jury answered in the affirmative, returned a verdict for the plaintiff, and awarded her $500.
