Appellant Marquerius Dandre Carter was convicted of malice murder and two firearm offenses in connection with the shooting death of Sarferaz Khan. 1 He appeals, arguing that the evidence presented at his trial was insufficient to support his convictions and that his trial counsel provided ineffective assistance by failing to object to lay witness opinion and hearsay testimony.
