BENHAM, Justice.

The parties, parents of a child born in December 1987, were divorced in 1993 in the Superior Court of Walton County. In September 2002, custodial parent Britt (“Mother”) filed a petition for contempt in which she alleged her ex-husband Louradour (“Father”) had failed to meet several of his obligations under the final judgment and decree of divorce in that he had failed to pay self-executing increases in child support1 and some of the child’s medical bills, and had failed to provide health insurance for the child.
