At the general election held in 1910, B. J. Stubbs was elected district and county clerk of Blanco county, and qualified and served as such. At the general election held November 5,1918, he was a candidate for re-election, and Albert Moursund was a candidate for the same office. In due time after the election the commissioners’ court of Blanco county canvassed the election returns, and ascertained and declared, as the result of such election, that Stubbs and Moursund had each received 341 votes, and ordered a, special election for that office, to be held on December 21, 1918.
