This civil action was initiated by the Plaintiff on October 10, 1972, following his arrest on July 14, 1972, by the Federal Bureau of Investigation upon an indictment returned by the Federal grand jury sitting in Tallahassee, Florida, investigating the planned activities of certain members of the Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW) which were to take place during the Republican National Convention,1 and a subsequent arrest on July 18, 1972, by officers of the Dade County Public Safety Department charging Plaintiff with…
