RULING ON DEFENDANT’S MOTION TO SUPPRESS

Defendant, Stephen Goins, has been charged with one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, in violation of 18 U.S.C. §§ 922(g)(1) and 942(a)(2). Indictment, ECF No. 1. The charge arises out of a stop and search that occurred on June 26, 2014 around 7 p.m., *151while Mr. Goms was driving m his fiancé’s car through Bridgeport, Connecticut. After stopping him, Bridgeport police officers recovered a gun that was in the glove compartment of the car and obtained two confessions from Mr. Goins…
