The K-Mart Corporation appeals a final judgment entered on a jury verdict in favor of Sheryl LeVee Salmon, appellee. On October 14, 1987, a Baltimore County Circuit Court jury awarded Salmon $28,000 on her malicious prosecution claim against K-Mart and Christopher Cañóles, a K-Mart employee, and $37,000 on her false imprisonment claim against K-Mart and Sharon Witkowski, also a K-Mart employee. The jury also awarded Salmon $100,000 in punitive damages against K-Mart, as well as $1,000 punitive damages each against Cañóles and Witkowski. Salmon filed a cross-appeal. The…
