Appellee alleged in her complaint “that appellant was her son, and that on October 19, 1893, and for some time prior thereto, she was the owner in fee simple of the undivided one-third of certain real estate, which she inherited from her husband, William Yount, deceased, who was the father of appellant; that her said husband had died intestate, and his estate had never been administered upon or settled; that in áddition to said real estate so inherited by her, she was entitled under the law to the sum of $500 as such widow; that after the death of her husband, appellant purchased the interest…
