In this case arising from a botched drug deal, a jury found Bobby White guilty of aggravated assault (three counts), attempted violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. He was acquitted of two counts of felony murder. White’s co-defendant, Quinton Newton, was found guilty of aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; this Court subsequently affirmed Newton’s conviction.
