Plaintiff New York State Crime Victims Board (the Board) brings this action pursuant to New York’s so-called “Son of Sam” Law (Executive Law § 632-a) against several entities and individuals associated with the writing and publication of the book Underboss, which recounts the life of defendant Salvatore Gravano. Gravano, a former member of the Gambino crime family, came to public prominence after being named in a Federal racketeering indictment with his boss John Gotti.
