This is an election contest arising out of the November 6, 1962, general election for state representative from the 12th legislative district in Scott County, Henry J. Morlock and John M. Fitzgerald being the candidates.
The official vote as attested by the county canvassing board totaled 4,367 for Morlock and 4,353 for Fitzgerald, establishing Morlock the winner by 14 votes. Fitzgerald served and filed notice of election contest on November 23, 1962.
