In an action to recover damages for medical malpractice, the plaintiffs appeal from an order of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County (Spinner, J.), dated January 15, 2009, which granted the *745motion of the defendants Jean Johnson, Lorraine Catalano, Scott Svitek, Gay Ezer, and Commack Pediatric Associates, and the separate motion of the defendants Martin G. Bialer and North Shore University Hospital, for summary judgment dismissing the complaint insofar as asserted against them.
