Defendant was charged in a special presentment with armed robbery (two counts), kidnapping, burglary, and violation of the Georgia Controlled Substances Act (two counts). Prior to trial, the State’s attorney “ask[ed] the Court to dismiss the last two counts,” and the remaining charges were tried before a jury.
