R. J.Stone, the appellant here, commenced this action to recover the cost of repairing and changing thé electric installations in the Yale hotel, at Chewelah, Washington, which work was done on the order of the electrical inspection division of the department of labor and industries of the state of Washington. The defendants below, respondents here, were the Yale Hotel Company, a corporation, which owned the hotel, and J.
