¶ 1 Defendant-appellant Giant Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Giant Manufacturing), a Taiwanese corporation, brings this appeal under *810 Illinois Supreme Court Rule 306(a)(3) from an order of the circuit court of Cook County, denying its motion to dismiss a complaint filed by plaintiff Janet Kowal for lack of personal jurisdiction.
