Facts of Case

At issue in this case is which statute of limitations applies to a "false light" invasion of privacy claim.

On June 3, 1981, three Yakima television stations broadcast that Clyde Eastwood was a coconspirator, or an unin- dieted coconspirator, in a criminal matter filed in federal district court. Clyde Eastwood, Karen Eastwood and Eastwood Drilling, Inc., sued Cascade Broadcasting Company, Apple Valley Broadcasting, Inc., and Columbia Empire Broadcasting Corporation alleging that the broadcast was "false, untrue, and totally incorrect."
