The complainant in this case, on the-twelfth day of August, 1886, claiming to be the wife of the-defendant, filed her complaint to obtain means of support from him, under,How. Stat. § 6291, as amended by Act No.. 149, Laws of 1885.
The complainant states that on or about the twenty-fourth day of March, 1886, at Detroit, in the county of Wayne and State of Michigan, she was “duly married” to Denis Clancy, defendant herein, and since said date they have lived together as “man and wife',” that the defendant, without any good and sufficient cause, and being possessed of a large amount-*203of property,…
