Only one question is presented in this case, and that involves a construction of these words in section one of Article 11 of the State Constitution: “All property wed! exclusively for state, county, municipal, literary, educational, scientific, religious, benevolent and charitable purposes * * * shall be exempt from taxation.” The plaintiff, as is admitted by the pleadings, is a literary and educational institution, incorporated under the laws of Kansas, and is the owner and in possession of a quarter-section of land adjacent to the city of…
