ÓDOM, J.

Áct No. 279 of 19Ó8, section 1, provides that' in each parish of the state (the parish of Orleans excepted)'

■ “* *- * having a population of. -less than fifty thousand inhabitants there shall be elected in the manner provided by law, in addition to the police jurór to which said ward is entitled', an additional police juror for each five thousand inhabitants which said ward contains.”
