Petitioner Damien Wayne Echols was convicted in the Craighead County Circuit Court of three counts of capital murder and sentenced to death. This court affirmed his conviction and sentence in Echols v. State, 326 Ark. 917, 936 S.W.2d 509 (1996), cert. denied, 520 U.S. 1244 (1997). He now petitions this court to reinvest jurisdiction in the circuit court to allow him to seek a writ of error coram nobis.
