Appellant Maude Lee Janes, doing business under the name of Sabine Motor Company, joined by her husband, brought this suit in the district court of Jefferson county, Tex., against the appellees W. C. English, doing business under the name of W. C. English Auto Company, R. M. Hill and F. H. Farwell, residents of Orange county, Tex., and T. H. Garner, sheriff of Jefferson county, Tex., and the American Surety Company of New York, for the value of two Studebaker automobiles alleged to have been converted by the defendants, alleging the value of the automobiles to be $1,000 each.
