Child born out of wedlock in Hungary on May 11, 1953, whose paternity was acknowledged at time birth was recorded is held eligible for third prefer- ence quota status as "legitimate" child of natural father. Under laws which became effective on Jude 1, 1947, and January 1, 1953, Hungary has abol- ished the distinction between legitimate and illegitimate children, giving all children, whether born in or out of wedlock, coequal status.
