This is a suit brought by the plaintiff, Victory Gravel Company, Incorporated, against the defendant, F. L. Dyer, for the sum of $774 alleged to be due for building material consisting of washed gravel sold and delivered to the defendant, hnd by him actually used in the construction of certain houses which he was building in the city of Shreveport, between the dates' of September 18, 1923, and February 29, 1924.
