Chiles, the appellee, under the act of assembly regulating the fees of clerks, 1 Dig. L. K. 563, put into the hands of the circuit judge, a large fee-bill, amounting to $67 43, issued against him by the plerk of the circuit court for the county where he resided, suspecting that it contained illegal items, and charges for which no services were rendered, and required it to be inspected and quashed by the judge, as the act directs.
