Appellee brought suit against Louis Wilson, Meridian City Lines, Inc., and City of Meridian, a municipal corporation, for the recovery of damages resulting from per sonal injuries sustained by him when an automobile of Louis Wilson, in which he was riding as a guest, collided with a tree projecting 2.7 feet into the traveled portion of 31st Avenue, a public thoroughfare of said city.
