In this civil appeal, the sole question is: In an appeal to the appropriate circuit court, what is the time within which bond must be given by a party appealing a judgment rendered in a court not of record in a civil case?

In 1977, appellants Steve Godlewski and Holly Schrieber filed separate civil actions by warrant in the General District Court of Arlington County seeking recovery of damages against appellee William Gray for alleged malicious prosecution.
