This action was begun in the superior court of Custer county on the 19th day of October, 1911, by the defendant in error as the plaintiff. against the plaintiffs in error as the defendants, on a promissory note and to foreclose a mortgage on certain property in College addition to the city of Weath-erford, Okla. The parties will be referred to hereinafter as they appeared in the trial court. Summons in proper form was duly issued, directed to the sheriff of Custer county. Eeturn thereof was made as follows:
