Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Otsego County (Mogavero, Jr., J.), rendered December 13, 1982, upon a verdict convicting defendant of the crimes of grand larceny in the first degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree and attempted robbery in the second degree. The conviction of grand larceny in the first degree was premised upon an encounter on November 12, 1981 between defendant and the complainant, Larry Holbrook, at the Oneonta office of the New York State Department of Labor, Unemployment Division.
