{¶ 1} This is an appeal from a judgment granting a writ of prohibition that prevents a municipal court judge from proceeding with a contempt hearing *196against a sheriff who violated the judge’s order by releasing a convicted misdemeanant from the county jail. The writ of prohibition also prevents the municipal judge from issuing further orders that would compel the sheriff to violate a prisoner-release order issued by the court of common pleas. We reverse the judgment of the court of appeals.
