BARDGETT, Judge.

The application of respondent, Guyetta Payne, for transfer to the Supreme Court after opinion by the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, was sustained by this Court and the cause ordered transferred. Further briefs were filed and the ap peal argued. Portions of the court of appeals opinion are utilized herein.

The marriage of Wallace and Guyetta Payne was dissolved by decree dated October 18, 1979. On April 22, 1980, Guyetta moved to hold Wallace in contempt for failure to comply with that decree. The trial court so held, and from that contempt judgment 1 Wallace…
