Norman Koonce, Jr., was convicted of malice murder, armed robbery, aggravated battery, two counts of possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and possession of a firearm by a first offender probationer in connection with the killing of Quahfee Murphy and the wounding of Allen Moore III. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 30 years. His amended motion for new trial was denied, and he appeals, asserting ineffective assistance of counsel.
