In this case the appellant (plaintiff below), C. S. Bowen Co., Inc. (Bowen), claims that the appellee (defendant below), Maryland National Bank (Maryland National), is liable to it for negligence and conversion. More specifically, Bowen claims that Maryland National wrongfully credited to the checking account of “Mrs. Patricia M. Andrews and Charles S. Bowen” at Maryland National checks belonging to Bowen and has failed to reimburse it for the full amount of those checks.
