MARTIN, Chief Justice.

This is an appeal by Carrie Goldenberg, plaintiff below, from a decree in an equity suit in which she was denied possession of certain securities in the hands of the receiver of the District National Bank of Washington.

It appears that on October 20, 1931, Samuel Goldenberg, husband of the appellant, executed and delivered to the District National Bank of Washington, his certain promissory note as of that date wherein he promised to pay to the bank the sum of $12,000 with interest, on demand.
