People v. Sileo

The defendant, Edmund Sileo, was convicted of the crime of murder in the first degree by the verdict of a jury in this court on January 29, 1942. The judgment of conviction was unanimously affirmed by the Court of Appeals. (See 289 N. Y.725.) He now moves for a new trial on the ground of newly-discovered evidence.
