This action is brought to recover against the respondents as sureties upon the official bond of Edward Ehlers, deceased. The material facts in the case are the following: At the general election in 1872 Edward Eh-lers was elected treasurer of the county of Milwaukee, and he assumed his office in January, 1873; his term of office expired in January, 1875.
