Lansing Trade Group, LLC (“LTG”), a Kansas commodity trading firm, sued 3B Biofuels GmbH & Co. KG, a German company, for breach of an installment contract. Under the contract, 3B Biofuels agreed to buy a certain quantity of biodiesel fuel at a fixed price in six separate shipments over a six-month period. In this suit, LTG alleges that 3B Biofuels wrongfully repudiated the contract after two of the six deliveries were completed because the market price of biodiesel went down and 3B Biofuels wanted out of the fixed-price contract. 3B…
