— This is an action to recover damages for injuries received on account of the negligence of the defendant.
The particular negligence pleaded and on which plaintiff relied for a recovery was that she was a passenger on one of defendant’s trains, and that at the station of her destination defendant neglected to place a portable step on the platform at said station so that she could easily and safely alight from the steps of the ear in which she was riding, onto the station platform, and that while in the exercise of due care under the conditions and circumstances aforesaid she attempted to…
