This is an appeal from a judgment rendered by the Circuit Court of Pike County, Mississippi following a five-day jury trial and a verdict for the plaintiffs, Mrs. Juedell T. Lawrence and the Mississippi Hospital Employee Benefit Trust. The case involves the Southwest Mississippi Regional Medical Center’s refusal to pay Mrs. Lawrence’s medical expenses for allegedly job-related injuries, as provided in the Hospital’s employee handbook.
