BOWES, Judge.

This is an appeal from the denial of the defendants’ Motion for a New Trial. We affirm.

The defendants, Shirley Lee, Tang Ching Lee, Royal China, Inc. and Royal Place, Inc., were cast in judgment on November 25, 1985, in the amount of $31,700.00, plus legal interest from date of judicial demand and all costs of court, for legal services rendered by the plaintiff, Robert Barnett. On the day of trial, neither the defendants nor their attorney were present in the courtroom at the time the matter was called for trial before the court, apparently sometime in the late morning because…
