This action is brought to foreclose a mortgage on real estate situated in the borough of Manhattan, city of New York. The complaint alleges that the mortgage is past due, having become payable March 31, 1913, and at the time of the commencement of the action there was due thereon, in addition *808to the principal, interest from October 1, 1914, at the rate of six per cent per annum.
