The issue presented for our resolution is whether the Family Court erred in determining that the respondent natural father had no duty to contribute to the support of a child whom he had voluntarily surrendered to the custody of the Orange County Department of Social Services but who had not yet been adopted at the time the instant proceeding for support was commenced.
