On July 23, 1928, defendants executed and delivered to the Hirsh Luria Building & Loan Association their obligation in writing, not under seal, for the payment of the sum of $1,000, with interest, within one year from the date thereof. Simultaneously and therewith, they delivered *249a warrant of attorney, not under seal, authorizing the confession of judgment against themselves for the sum of $1,000 and costs.
